Lumière sur Georges COULOMB

Né en 1947, Georges COULOMB se passionne d'abord pour la sculpture avant de basculter définitivement dans la peinture. C'est avec un geste sûr qu'il sculpte la matière au couteau.
Ses scènes d'intérieurs, aux couleurs chatoyantes, dégagent une énergie qui saura émouvoir les plus avertis d'entre nous.
C'est en France, et surtout au Japon, que l'on peut admirer la plupart des oeuvres de Georges COULOMB.


Georges COULOMB vas bron in southern France where he still lives. A self-taught man, he first tried his hand at sculpting, then started painting in 1970, He has been a professional painter since 1988,
Personnal exhibitions in France, Japn and Canada and private collections in France, Great Britain, Holland, Belgium, Japan, Switzerland, South Africa, Unites States.
Georges COULOMB is a born observer, he intensely prints the images in his mind which reconstitutes and translates them with a very personal manner.
After drawing a few rough sketches, he starts realizing the work in his studio. No faithful transcription but a reconstruction throught his mind which remodels the shapes and exalts the colours. Here is the cause of this exuberant restitution.
